FBL Comment Companion

A personal desktop tool for managing comments on the FBL Meditations YouTube channel.

What the tool does

FBL Comment Companion runs locally on the channel owner’s Windows computer. It uses YouTube API Services to load published comments, their replies and relevant video information from the connected channel.

The owner can request an AI-assisted reply draft or translation, edit the text and publish a reply by clicking “Auf YouTube antworten”. Every reply is reviewed and sent by the owner. A comment refresh does not generate or publish replies.

Connection and data

Google sign-in authorizes the local tool to access the connected YouTube channel. The tool does not ask for the Google account password. Credentials are protected with the owner’s Windows account, and comments and drafts are stored locally.

When the owner requests a draft, translation or revision, the selected comment and relevant conversation context are sent to the OpenAI API. Read the FBL Comment Companion privacy notice for details about data processing, storage and deletion.

Personal use

This tool is maintained for the personal use of Ralph Peter Greiner, owner of FBL Meditations. It is not offered as a public service or download. This page provides information about the local application.

Use of the tool is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service. The owner must read and agree to the privacy notice before connecting the application and using its features.
